Detailed instructions for passengers on how to use the ATTO service
The 'ATTO' transport card allows passengers to quickly and conveniently pay for public transport in Tashkent. It is currently accepted on all buses of JSC 'Toshshaharttrans' and at all turnstile entrances at underground and above-ground stations of the Tashkent Metro.
To pay for travel on a bus, the 'ATTO' transport card should be held near the stationary validator located on the handrail or near the mobile validator with the conductor. The ATTO operator recommends not handing the transport card to the conductor for payment, as they may mix up one passenger's card with another's.
To pay for travel in the metro, the transport card should be held near the validator installed on the turnstile, and wait for a green checkmark to appear on the validator. If the green checkmark appears, the payment was successful. If a red cross appears, the payment was not successful. If a yellow indicator appears, it means less than 6 minutes have passed since the last payment.
The discount transport card provides a 50% discount for students, pensioners, and disabled individuals when they select special fare plans.
The discount transport card is linked to the personal data of the user and the document number confirming eligibility for discounted public transport: a school certificate for pupils, a student ID for university students, or a disability or pensioner ID.
Currently, three types of transport cards are available for passengers who is eligible for discounted travel on public transport: student cards (green), university student cards (yellow), and social cards for pensioners and disabled individuals (red).
The ATTO transport card can be topped up through mobile payment applications and bank services:

To pay for travel on a bus, place the ATTO transport card against the stationary validator located on the handrail or the mobile validator held by the conductor. The ATTO operator recommends not passing the transport card to the conductor to prevent mix-ups with other passengers' cards. To pay for travel in the subway, hold the transport card against the validator at the turnstile and wait for a green checkmark to appear on the validator. If a green checkmark appears, the payment was successful. If a red cross appears, payment did not go through. A yellow color means that less than 6 minutes have passed since the last payment.

To purchase a subscription plan, the cardholder can do it themselves at UzPost post offices after the previous plan expires, or via the ATTO mobile app or personal account with balance top-up depending on the plan's duration.
If the validator displays a message saying ‘Card Blocked’, top up your balance. If the card is not read by the validator despite a positive balance, the card may be damaged. It is recommended to replace the card at the regional UzPost office. In this case, the transfer of funds will be carried out within 48 hours if the SMS notification service is activated.
For the transport card/virtual transport card to work, it must have a positive balance. Regardless of the purchased tariff plan, the balance must always be no less than the cost of one trip, as set by the authorities in the region of the trip (1,700 sums for Tashkent), which is the minimum deposit.
The transport card/virtual transport card is intended for use by one passenger only.
Passengers entitled to discounted travel (disabled, pensioners, university students, schoolchildren, lyceum, and college students) can use the discount transport card to pay 50% of the regular tariff for public transport.
To receive a discount transport card, the following documents must be submitted depending on the user category: identity document (passport or birth certificate for those under 16), pension certificate, disability certificate, and an application in the form provided in the Public Offer Agreement of JSC ‘Toshshakharttranskhizmat’ and Tashkent Metro.”
