The operator of automated fare payment in public transport – the ATTO company, together with
the Tashkent City Transport Department, has launched a new method of payment for travel using a virtual card, which in turn is created in the ATTO mobile application. At the same time, in the ATTO electronic system, a virtual transport card is equated with a physical transport card.
The key advantage of a virtual card is the free creation in a mobile application, as well as the optional purchase of a physical transport card at metro ticket offices and points for the sale of transport cards. It is enough for passengers of public transport to be a user of "smartphones".
During the pilot period, that is, from August 20 to October 1, 2022, users of the ATTO mobile application activated 5.8 thousand virtual cards, through which 6545 transactions were carried out. At the same time, the largest number of fare payments were carried out in the metro, the share of which was 75%
